How to Cancel WooCommerce

To cancel a WooCommerce order, follow these steps:

1. Locate the Order: Navigate to your WordPress admin panel, hover over the WooCommerce tab, and select "Orders." Use the search bar to find the specific order you want to cancel by entering the order number or customer name.

2. Edit the Order Status: Click on the order to open it for editing. In the "Order Details" section, find the "Status" dropdown menu and select "Cancelled."

3. Update the Order: Click the "Update" button on the right side of the screen to save the changes. The order will now appear as cancelled in both your dashboard and the customer’s account.

4. Refund if Necessary: If payment has been received, you will need to process a refund. You can use the WooCommerce refund feature to provide a full or partial refund.

For customers to cancel orders themselves, you can install the "Customer Order Cancellation for WooCommerce" plugin. This plugin allows customers to request cancellations from their account page and provides options for full or partial refunds and cancellation fees.

To set up this plugin:

• Download and install the plugin through the WordPress admin panel.
• Go to WooCommerce > Settings > Cancel Order to configure settings such as displaying the cancel button, setting cancellation fees, and managing refund options.
• Customers can then cancel orders by clicking the cancel button in their account page, and you can approve or decline these requests in the WooCommerce > Order Cancellation Request section.
