How to Cancel ManageEngine Applications Manager

To fully cancel and uninstall ManageEngine Applications Manager, follow these steps:

  1. Stop the Service: Before uninstalling, ensure that the Applications Manager service is stopped. You can do this by right-clicking on the Applications Manager tray icon in Windows and selecting "Stop" or by using the command line. In Windows, navigate to the Applications Manager home directory and run the command shutdownApplicationsManager.bat. In Linux, use sh shutdownApplicationsManager.sh.

  2. Uninstall via Control Panel:

    • In Windows, go to the Control Panel, open "Programs and Features" (or "Add or Remove Programsassistant>, and look for ManageEngine Applications Manager. Click on it and select "Uninstall" to proceed with the uninstallation.
    • Alternatively, you can also uninstall from the Start menu by navigating to "ManageEngine Applications Manager" and selecting "Uninstall Applications Manager".
  3. Uninstall via Command Line:

    • If the above method does not work, you can uninstall using the command line. In Windows, open a command prompt and navigate to the Applications Manager home directory. Run the command uninstallApplicationsManager -i console.
    • In Linux, use the command ./uninstallApplicationsManager -i console.
  4. Remove Service (if installed as a service):

    • If Applications Manager was installed asassistant>, you may need to remove the service manually. In Windows, navigate to the Services menu, find "ApacheApplicationsManager" and "ManageEngineApplicationsManager", and stop them if running. Then, execute uninstallService.bat from the Applications Manager bin directory to remove the service.
  5. Delete Remaining Files:

    • After uninstallation, manually delete any remaining files or directories related to ManageEngine Applications Manager to ensure a complete removal.
  6. Contact Support (if necessary):

    • If you encounter any issues during the uninstallation process, contact ManageEngine support for assistance.
