How to Cancel Phorest Salon Software

To cancel an appointment in Phorest Salon Software, follow these steps:

  1. Select the Appointment: Go to the Appointments screen and single-click on the appointment you wish to cancel.

  2. Open the Appointment Editor: This will open the appointment details.

  3. Cancel or Delete the Appointment: Click on the "Remove" button. A pop-up window will appear with options to either "Delete" the appointment or "Cancel appointment" as a client cancellation.

  4. Choose Cancellation Type: If the appointment is part of a series, you will be prompted to choose whether to cancel just this appointment or all future appointments in the series.

  5. Enter Cancellation Reason: If you choose to cancel the appointment, you will be prompted to enter a cancellation reason. This reason will be recorded in the client’s service history.

  6. Process Cancellation Charge (if applicable): If you want to apply a cancellation charge, select the "Cancellation charge" option. You can choose to keep the deposit, apply a custom charge, or charge the remaining fee. Enter the chosen fee and confirm the cancellation.

  7. Refund or Retain Deposit: If a deposit was paid through PhorestPay, it will be automatically refunded if you choose to refund it. Otherwise, you can retain the deposit as part of the cancellation charge.

  8. Client Notification: The client will receive a receipt for any cancellation charges applied. You can also print a paper receipt from the Manager > Sales section.
