How to Cancel PrestaShop

To fully cancel a PrestaShop product order, follow these steps:

  1. Access the Order: Log into your PrestaShop admin dashboard. Navigate to the "Orders" tab, locate the order you wish to cancel, and click on the "View" button next to it.

  2. Cancel the Order: On the order details page, you will see a dropdown menu for adding a new status. Select "Cancel" from this dropdown and click the "Add" button next to it. This will update the order status to "Canceled."

  3. Restocking: If the order was not shipped, canceling it will automatically restock the products. If the order was shipped, you may need to manually adjust the stock levels after processing returns.

  4. Refunds: If a refund is required, you can use the "Standard Refund" or "Partial Refund" options available in the order details page, depending on the order status and your store’s policies.

  5. Notifications: Consider setting up email notifications for both admins and customers to ensure everyone is informed about the cancellation.

Note: Orders cannot be deleted from the PrestaShop database; they can only be marked as canceled for record-keeping purposes. If you need to delete an order, you would have to manually edit the database, but this is not recommended without proper backup and caution.
