2. Empty Your Storage Space: Ensure you completely clear out all items from your storage unit. Remove everything from the property to allow Public Storage to close your account. Consider donating any items you no longer need to a charity.
3. Tidy Up Your Storage Space: Clean your storage unit by sweeping out any debris and cleaning up spills. Aim to leave the space in the same condition as when you first moved in.
4. Remove the Lock: Remember to take your lock with you when you move out, as it belongs to you. Leaving the lock on the unit will indicate that the space is still occupied, even if it is empty.
5. Inform the Property Manager: After you have vacated your storage unit, visit the office to inform the property manager. They will inspect the unit and finalize the closure of your account.
