What was your first impression when you started using it?
One of Rippling’s strongest advantages is its reporting functionality. The reporting tools are flexible, easy to navigate, and allow administrators to quickly pull meaningful data without extensive configuration. Payroll processing is also relatively streamlined, making pay runs more efficient compared to many other HRIS platforms. Additionally, managing employee changes such as compensation updates, role changes, and personal information updates is quick and efficient, which helps reduce administrative burden.
What feature doesn’t work as expected?
Rippling’s customer support has declined over time rather than improved. Over the past three years, support has increasingly shifted toward generic, AI-driven responses, making it difficult to resolve nuanced or time-sensitive issues. In many cases, receiving meaningful resolution can take up to two weeks. There also appear to be recurring tax-related issues, often tied to late filings, which require unnecessary follow-up and research from business owners. While Rippling assigns both an account manager and a technical account manager, frequent turnover means these representatives change often, limiting continuity and familiarity with the business.
Is there a workflow that could be simpler?
Rippling’s biggest opportunity for improvement is strengthening and stabilizing existing modules rather than continuing to release new ones. The performance review module is overly complex to administer and lacks actionable insights for HR teams. Survey tools also experience bugs when deployed.

It is easier to use than many HRIS systems, but could be a 10 with stronger support and refinement of existing features.

1. Everything in one platform - payroll, benefits, expense management, EOR 2. It is user-friendly - easy to navigate for both admins & employees 3. Workflow automation is really great - Helpful in onbaording , approvals and recurring tasks
What feature doesn’t work as expected?
1. Performance management tool - they need work on smarter dashboards and insights 2. Support response time didn't always meet expectation. For payroll and compliance-related issues , responses were always slow 3. AI chat doesn't work for every issue that you have.
What problem did this product solve for you?
1. Very helpful since we operate in different regions - we just used Rippling everything. Jumping onto other tools for basic HR work was not necessary, such as for leave management, payroll, expense management, etc

I scored 8 as overall Rippling is great, but still there is a lot of scope for improvement. That being said I would still highly recommend Rippling to Startups, SME's and companies operating in different regions as its a unified platform

What I like about Rippling is that it's easy to use and navigate in the long run. I also like that everything is in one place, which really helps in my role as a Virtual Assistant supporting both the finance and HR teams.
What slows you down when using it?
At first, the platform can feel a bit overwhelming because there are so many features and they aren't very intuitive right away.
How could the product save you more time or money?
I see a lot of potential in Rippling, especially if the onboarding experience is improved. More guided tutorials for beginners and walkthroughs based on user roles. Small tips of prompts inside the system would also help users understand the features faster.

What feature do you use most often?
I've used Review cycles and Goals the most
Is there something that almost made you stop using it?
In Rippling, there is no option to include the review cycle for skip managers. So for each employee, I had to go and include their skip manager as one of the reviewer. Similar challenge will be there is you have dotted line reporting I believe. Apart from this, there is no proper flow from goals to review cycle Having said that, this is one of the options that was suggested by the rippling help center team. Found them very knowledgeable.
What could make it even better?
If there are any options for skip level reviews to be incorporated. Also, the analytics could be done better when it comes to the performance system in rippling. There should be a proper connect between the goals and review cycles
Final thoughts, wrap up what you think
For review cycle, I feel there is a lot that can be done with respect to the analytics, skip manager reviews and goal to review cycle linkage. However, if you are looking for something standard, rippling is way to go because for standard reviews and analytics, you won't need much manual work to be done
