How to Cancel WeTravel

To fully cancel a booking and issue a refund on WeTravel, follow these steps:

Canceling the Booking

  • Go to your trip dashboard.
  • Click on the three dots next to the participant’s name.
  • Select "Cancel Booking or Option".
  • Choose the participants or options you want to cancel and click "Continue".
  • Confirm the cancellation in the second dialogue box by clicking "Confirm Cancellation".

Issuing a Full Refund

  • After canceling the booking, you can issue a full refund. Alternatively, you can issue a full refund which will automatically cancel the booking.
  • Search for the participant by entering their name or email address in the search bar, or go to "My Trips" and click "Manage Trip".
  • Click "Issue Refund" next to the participant’s name.
  • In the pop-up, select "Refund All Payments".
  • Choose the correct bank account or card to send the refund to.
  • Follow the next steps to confirm the refund.

Important Notes

  • When you issue a full refund, the participant’s booking will automatically be canceled and they will be removed from the participant list.
  • The participant will receive an email notification about the refund.
  • Refunds usually take 5-10 business days to appear on the participant’s statement.
  • For local bank payments, refunds remain free of charge, but for card payments, WeTravel will deduct the card processing fee from your WeTravel balance.
