What was your first impression when you started using it?
It felt powerful right away, but also a bit technical at first. You can tell it’s built for serious workloads, not casual use.
What slows you down when using it?
The learning curve can slow things down in the beginning. It takes time to understand how to properly set up and optimize workloads.
How could the product save you more time or money?
Better onboarding and templates would help you get up and running faster. More automation around setup and optimization could also save a lot of time.

What was your first impression when you started using it?
My first impression was that it was very powerful and detailed for managing inventory across multiple locations. However, it also felt a bit complex at the start because of all the features and settings.
Have you experienced any bugs or errors?
I haven’t experienced any major bugs or errors while using it. It generally runs reliably, though occasional small glitches or slow loading can happen when handling large datasets.
If you could change one thing, what would it be?
If I could change one thing, I would simplify the interface and make the navigation more intuitive, especially for first-time users, so it’s easier to learn and use quickly.

I would recommend it because it helps eliminate manual inventory work and improves real-time visibility across locations, which increases efficiency and reduces operational costs. I would rate it around 9 out of 10 since it’s very effective for managing fast-paced hospitality operations, though it can take some time to fully learn at first.

What’s the biggest benefit you’ve noticed?
ellowDog basically took all the heavy lifting out of managing compute resources and now i spend way less time worrying about that side of things. freed up a lot of headspace for the actual work that matters
Is there something that almost made you stop using it?
the initial setup of YellowDog felt a bit involved and i almost talked myself out of continuing but i was trying to configure everything in one sitting which was too much. broke it into smaller steps over a couple days and it came together way smoother
Is there a workflow that could be simpler?
YellowDog could save even more on costs for my team if we optimized how we schedule jobs and from what i can tell the platform already has tools for that we havent fully tapped into. more of a us problem than a YellowDog problem

YellowDog is the kind of tool i bring up when people complain about compute management being a nightmare bc it genuinely solves that problem well. would recommend it without needing much convincing
