How to Cancel Backup4all

To fully cancel and uninstall Backup4all from your computer, follow these steps:

Uninstalling Backup4all

  1. Close the Application: Ensure that Backup4all is not running. If it is, close the application to proceed.

  2. Access Uninstall Option:

    • Go to Start > Settings > Control Panel.
    • Select the Uninstall a Program option.
  3. Uninstall Backup4all:

    • Find Backup4all in the list of installed programs.
    • Click on it and select the Uninstall option.
    • Follow the prompts to complete the uninstallation process.

Deactivating License and Deleting Configurations

  • During the uninstallation process, you will be given the option to:
    • Deactivate licenses: This is useful if you plan to move the license to another computer.
    • Delete configurations: This option allows you to delete the application configurations on uninstall.

Manual Uninstallation Parameters (Optional)

If you need to perform a silent or automated uninstallation, you can use the following command line parameters:

  • /SILENT
  • /VERYSILENT
  • /SUPPRESSMSGBOXES
  • /NORESTART

Moving to a New Computer (If Applicable)

If you are moving Backup4all to a new computer, here are the additional steps:

  • Install Trial Version: Install the trial version of Backup4all on the new computer without activating it.
  • Move Backups: Move all your backups (.bkc files and corresponding zip files) to the new computer if they are located on the old computer’s hard drive. If backups are on an external HDD, simply plug it into the new computer.
  • Import Configurations: Open the import wizard from File > Open From... and use it to access all your .bkc files from their destinations. This will re-create your backup configurations as they were on the old computer.
  • Restore Backups: Restore each backup to re-create your files and folders on the new computer.
  • Activate License: Deactivate Backup4all from the old computer, then activate it on the new computer.
