How to Cancel Top Hat

To cancel and potentially request a refund for a Top Hat product, follow these steps:

Canceling Your Top Hat Subscription

  • Open the Top Hat website in your web browser (Firefox or Google Chrome is recommended).
  • Log in to your Top Hat account.
  • Click on your name or the account icon in the top-right corner of the page and select "Account Settings" from the menu.
  • Navigate to the "Subscription Management" section located on the left side of the page.
  • Find your recent transactions and select the "Request Refund" button associated with the subscription you want to cancel.

Requesting a Refund

  • Choose the Top Hat products you would like to get a refund for.
  • Select a reason for your refund request.
  • Provide additional details about your request to expedite the process.
  • Click the "Submit" button in the bottom-right corner to submit your refund request.

You will receive a confirmation message and an email with a case number for your refund request.

Important Notes

  • Refunds are typically processed within three to five business days, and it may take an additional 10-15 business days for the money to appear in your account.
  • You can only request a refund for subscriptions purchased directly from Top Hat’s website. If you purchased access keys from your campus bookstore, you need to contact the bookstore for a refund.
  • After receiving a refund, you will lose access to the products you were refunded for, including grades records.

Checking Refund Status

  • To check the status of your refund request, contact Top Hat’s Support Team via email or phone and provide the case number you received after submitting your refund request.

Additional Considerations

  • If you are outside the two-week refund period from the date of purchase, you will need to contact Top Hat’s Support Team directly to discuss your options.
  • Your account will not be deleted after receiving a refund, but your subscription will be terminated, and you will not be able to access the Top Hat products until you reactivate your subscription.
