Important Considerations:

  • Outstanding Balance: Ensure any remaining balance on the card is paid in full. The account owner and co-owner are responsible for any remaining balance even after account closure.
  • Remove Automated Bills: Before closing the account, make sure to remove Apple Card from any automated bills, such as utilities or online spending accounts.
  • Apple Card Family Accounts: When you close an Apple Card Family account, it closes for everyone associated with that shared account, including the co-owner and all participants. Any transactions attempted on the account by any owner, co-owner, and participant will automatically be declined. However, the account owner or co-owners are still responsible for repaying the balance on the account in full.

By following these steps, you can effectively close your Apple Card account and initiate the deletion of your personal information through the Wallet app. If you encounter any issues or require further assistance, please contact Apple Support at 877-255-5923.
