How to Cancel ARCHIBUS
To cancel a work request in the ARCHIBUS system, follow these steps based on your role and the status of the work request:
Canceling Work Requests
From the Maintenance Console

Locate the Work Request: Find the work request you want to cancel in the Maintenance Console. This could be in the "Assigned work" or "Issued and In Process" section, depending on the status of the request.

Select the Request: Click on the selection box or select the work request you want to cancel.

Cancel the Request:
- If you are a Requestor, you can cancel a request in any status before "Issued and in Process". Click the "Cancel Request" button at the top of the grid.
- If you are a Supervisor, you can cancel a request in the “Assign to Work Order” status. Click the "Cancel Request" button after selecting the work request.
- If you are an Approver, you can cancel requests based on the “Approve” step set up in the SLA for various statuses. From the form for approving the request, click the "Cancel" button.
Confirmation
- A message will appear confirming that you want to cancel the work. Click "Yes" to proceed with the cancellation.
Post-Cancellation
- The work request will be removed from the Maintenance Console and will not be included in the count of open work requests.
- If the work request contained actual costs, it cannot be canceled but can only be stopped. In such cases, you need to stop the work instead.
Stopping Work (If Already Issued)
If the work has been issued and is in process but needs to be stopped permanently:

Locate the Work Request: Find the work in the "Issued and In Process" section of the screen.

Update Information (Optional): Click "Update" to add information such as the hours worked or parts used before stopping the work.

Stop the Work: Select the work request and choose the "Stop" button.

Confirm: A form will appear asking you to confirm the stop. Click "Yes" to stop the work.
Using the Maintenance Mobile App

Locate the Work Request: Tap the "Issue" button at the bottom of the screen and select the work you want to cancel or stop.

Cancel or Stop:
- For canceling, tap the check mark icon at the top of the screen, then tap "Cancel" from the menu.
- For stopping, tap the check mark icon at the top of the screen, then tap "Stop" from the menu.

Confirm: Tap "Yes" in the confirmation message to proceed.
Additional Considerations

Craftspersons: While craftspersons cannot stop or cancel work, they can put their assigned work on hold. This helps in tracking bottlenecks and assessing availability.

Email Notifications: The system generates email notifications to the requestor and supervisor when a work request is canceled or stopped.
