How to Cancel Back Office Suite

To cancel your Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365) subscription, which is often referred to in the context of a productivity suite like the Back Office Suite, follow these steps:

Signing In

Sign in to the Microsoft Account Management page using your Microsoft account credentials.

Navigating to Subscriptions

Go to the Services and subscriptions section.

Selecting Your Plan

Locate your Microsoft 365 subscription and select Manage.

Canceling the Subscription

Select Cancel subscription and follow the instructions provided by Microsoft to complete the cancellation process. If you see the option to Turn on recurring billing, this means your subscription will expire at the end of the paid period, and you do not need to take further action.

Confirmation

Cancellations are effective immediately, even if you are billed on a monthly or annual basis. However, you will still have access to Microsoft 365 until the end of your current billing period.

Refund Considerations

If you are within the first 30 days of your subscription, you are eligible for a full refund. To request a refund:

  • Sign in to your Microsoft account.
  • Go to the Services & subscriptions page.
  • Locate your Microsoft 365 subscription and click on Manage.
  • Select Cancel to initiate the refund process.
  • Contact Microsoft support to explain your situation and provide necessary details for the refund request.

After 30 days, a pro-rated refund may be available up to 60 days, but no refund is applicable after 60 days.

Deleting Your Microsoft Account (Optional)

If you no longer want to use any Microsoft services, you can delete your Microsoft account:

  • Sign in to your account and go to Settings > Help and support > Delete > Delete account > Close account.
  • Alternatively, in the browser, sign in and search for Delete, select Close your account, and follow the prompts to mark your account for closure.
