How to Cancel Browntape

To cancel or manage a return or replacement order on Browntape, follow these steps:

Canceling or Managing an Order

Accessing the Order Details

  • Visit the order detail page by clicking on the individual order you want to manage.

Options for Order Management

  • Under the ‘Shipping info’ and ‘Tracking info’ tab, you will see several options:
    • Cancel the order
    • Create a return or replacement
    • Return to the origin
    • Delete order from Browntape

Creating a Return or Replacement

  • Click on ‘Returns and Replacements’ to open the relevant window.
  • Select the reason and status for the return or replacement and proceed.

Tracking and Updating Return Status

  • If you have marked an order as ‘Return’, you can track or change the status of these orders.
  • To change the status, click on the ‘Mark as’ drop-down and select the appropriate status for the order, such as ‘return received’ or ‘return pending’.

Additional Steps for Returns

  • When you receive a returned package, notify your customers and ask for the reason behind the return. This can be done by including a questionnaire with the return label or initiating a conversation via email.
  • Sort the returns into damaged and undamaged items. Enter the undamaged items back into your inventory, and return pre-damaged items to the supplier if necessary.
  • Use Browntape’s inventory management features to update the SKU number of the returned product so it can be reprocessed for new sales.

  • Attend to your customers’ grievances promptly. Provide them with a replacement product according to your pre-decided policy, ensuring customer satisfaction.

Termination of Service

If you need to terminate your service with Browntape entirely, note that Browntape may immediately issue a warning, temporarily suspend, indefinitely suspend, or immediately terminate your access to the account(s) if you fail to comply with any terms specified in the Terms of Service. However, for a voluntary termination, you would typically need to contact Browntape support directly, as the Terms of Service do not outline a self-service option for account termination.
