How to Cancel Charityproud

To cancel a recurring donation or subscription through the Charityproud platform, you will need to follow these steps, as the process involves managing donations through integrated payment systems like Stripe or similar payment gateways.

For Donors

If you are a donor and want to cancel your recurring donation, you typically need to access the payment system directly associated with your donation.

Through Stripe

• Log in to your user portal or the relevant donation management area.
• If you have access to the Stripe dashboard through your account settings:
  • Click on "Customers" on the left-hand side.
  • In the dropdown menu under "Billing," click on "Subscriptions" to see a list of all your recurring donations.
  • Locate the email address of your subscription.
  • Click the three dots on the rightmost side of the page on your subscription.
  • Click "Cancel Subscription".

Through PayPal or Other Payment Gateways

• If your donation is managed through PayPal or another payment gateway integrated with Charityproud:
  • Log in to the PayPal Merchant Dashboard or the relevant payment gateway.
  • Navigate to the "Sales" or "Subscriptions" section.
  • Enter the subscription ID or search for the recurring payment using filters like your email address.
  • Click on the subscription ID or the desired line item to access the subscription details.
  • Click on "(Update)" next to the "Status: Active" information and select "Cancel" and then "Save Updates".

For Nonprofits

If you are a nonprofit organization using Charityproud and need to cancel or update a donor’s recurring donation on their behalf, follow these steps:

Through Stripe

• Log in to the Stripe dashboard connected to your Charityproud account.
• Click on "Customers" on the left-hand side.
• In the dropdown menu under "Billing," click on "Subscriptions" to see a list of all your recurring donors.
• Locate the email address of the donor who wants to cancel the subscription.
• Click the three dots on the rightmost side of the page on the donor’s subscription.
• Click "Cancel Subscription".

Through PayPal

• Log in to the PayPal Merchant Dashboard integrated with your Charityproud account.
• Click the “Sales” menu item in the top navigation. Then, under “Sales Channels,” click on “Subscriptions”.
• On the “Manage subscriptions” page, enter the desired subscription ID into the search field.
• Click on the subscription ID in the search result.
• Under the “Subscription Info” for the desired donor’s subscription, click “(Update)” next to the “Status: Active” information.
• Select “Cancel” and then “Save Updates”.
