What exceeded your expectations?

Fiverr makes it easier for me to get clients from different countries without needing heavy self-promotion. The order system is clear, notifications are fast, and the dashboard is well-organized, allowing me to manage multiple projects more efficiently. Payments are also secure because they are automatically released once the order is completed.

What slows you down when using it?

The commission Fiverr takes is quite high, especially for small orders. Also, the algorithm can be inconsistent—my gig impressions can suddenly drop without any explanation, which makes it hard to predict the flow of orders. Handling clients who give unclear briefs can also be challenging at times.

What problem did this product solve for you?

I hope Fiverr adds more detailed analytics so freelancers can understand why impressions rise or fall. It would also be great to have a more accurate “auto-translated brief” feature to help when working with international clients who don’t use English.

I give Fiverr an 8 because it offers huge opportunities to get global clients and build a strong portfolio. The workflow is convenient, and the security system is reliable. I’m not giving it a 10 yet because the fees are quite high and the algorithm still feels less transparent.

What do you like best about this product?

I really like how straightforward the dashboard is and how easy it is to track orders, messages, and delivery timelines, payments and all in one place. As a virtual assistant, staying organized and productive is everything and fiverr helps with that

What’s been frustrating in your experience?

Sometimes messages don't load instantly or maybe notifications come in a bit late, which can make communication a bit slow, especially when In need fast responses from clients. Another thing is the number of job posted that don't even exist, its just a lot sometimes.

It would be great if there was quicker shortcuts for frequently used actions like sending standard messages or accessing past files. just to save a little more time during busy days.

It’s cool for fast income because you don’t need long applications or interviews; and you can set up a gig and start getting clients almost immediately. The platform is also quite easy to use. The major disadvantage is the competition, the 20% fee Fiverr takes, and the fact that new sellers sometimes struggle to get visibility at first. You also have to deal with clients who expect premium work for cheap. So overall: very useful, but not perfect. That’s why to me a 7/10 rating feels fair.

What I liked it here is they're showing how fast it is to get started. Clients can actually contact you without actively applying for jobs, as long as you got the skills and potential they need. It's a great opportunity for me.

The needed improvement is the pricing and client expectations. Some don't fully read the gig details, and we're having misunderstandings because of that. It became rushed because clients expecting instant replies.

How could the product save you more time or money?

It'll be better protection for sellers during disputes and also having more control over unrealistic clients would help a lot. Also it's great having stronger tools for long-term projects instead of short-term orders.

Clients know exactly what they are getting and for what price, which minimizes lengthy pre-sale negotiations. This streamlined transaction flow is crucial, as it allows me to spend less time selling and more time executing profitable work (especially through repeat business from established clients).

The primary friction point is the commission structure—the 20\% fee is a substantial detraction from the gross revenue, forcing an increased workload to maintain a target income. Furthermore, the platform's heavy emphasis on speed and competitive pricing often leads to a race to the bottom, where clients frequently expect premium output for bargain rates. Dealing with the constant pressure to maintain a 5-star rating, often due to subjective or difficult client expectations, can also be a significant emotional and operational tax that slows down focused work.

What’s still missing for your needs?

Fiverr needs a more robust and granular pricing negotiation tool within the chat system that allows sellers to justify complex custom orders and automatically generates a contract without needing an external custom offer. A "Client Vetting Score" visible to sellers, based on a buyer's past professionalism, communication, and revision history, would save me immense time and money by letting me decline or price higher for potentially problematic projects. This would allow me to be more selective, saving me the cost of dealing with unprofitable or stressful clients.

I score it a 7 because it is an absolutely necessary evil for any serious freelancer seeking market access and volume, especially when starting out. However, I wouldn't recommend it unreservedly due to the high commission and intense competition. What i like about Fiverr is get talent with right needs. If I need something done for the exampe like design, data cleanup, or overlooking data, all I have to do is search, scroll a little, see rating, look at a few samples, and sure enough,

In order to make everything feel more seamless and transparent, a little more clarity on revisions would be beneficial. Although it's still good overall, these minor adjustments would enhance the experience.

What exceeded your expectations?

Starting is really easy, there are a lot of options to find opportunities, it only the gigs which is amazing to work, but projects by hour, invitations to client briefs. Fiverr support is always available really fast through email and offers benefits if you get a customer success manager, which also includes other benefits as faster deposits, etc. Has a lot of features to increase the visits to you profile, and analysis tools to position better your profile and gigs. It’s a great way to become a freelance and earn money, totally recommend have been there for over 3 years!

I don’t see any cons, works great!

What could make it even better?

They have an evaluation system specially for success, that is sometimes not as specific as I would like, but what I do love is that they measure you in different ways and are related to get more jobs and projects so it help you to exceed yourself.

What feature do you use most often?

I am working for more than 4 years and it’s really a great marketplace where I have worked almost 200 clients. Their gig system is enormous, which is a easier process to search proper freelancer in a easy way.

What feels confusing or hard to use?

I think, if they can flexible to deliver the project as like Fiverr,where if the project delays without acknowledging the system,but we have an understanding between seller and buyer, it won't affect to seller profile. Also, the success score is kind a bullshit system where we can't see proper progress if we can successfully complete some tasks too. 20% deduction is also a hindrance for us because it’s a lot of amount in a project. If we can reduce to 10%, more professional buyer and seller will be included here

What could make it even better?

1. Payment clearance should be within 3/7 days. 15 days is a long long time! These doesn’t attract professional sellers 2. Reduce 20% to 5% Fiverr charges to attract professional sellers. Also client side charges could decrease more. 3. Bidding system can be introduce here. Once a time,there has buyer request but now it’s not available now. We miss it much. It is also a great system to get newbies too.
