How to Cancel GiveSmart

To cancel or manage various aspects within the GiveSmart platform, you can follow these steps:

Canceling a Bid

If a bidder needs to cancel a bid, they must contact the auction organizer directly. Here’s how to proceed:

  • Bidders should go to the auction main page and click on the "Help" option at the top.
  • Select "Contact Auction Organizer" to request the cancellation of the bid.

For auction administrators:

  • Log in to the Auction Dashboard.
  • Click on "Auctions" and then "Manage Auctions."
  • Select the name of your auction.
  • Click on "Items" and then "All Items."
  • Find the item with the bid you want to cancel and click on the blue number indicating the bids.
  • Click the red "X" to remove the bid.

Canceling or Refunding a Ticket Purchase

To cancel or refund a ticket purchase, follow these steps:

  • Log in to the Event Ticket Dashboard.
  • Click on "Transactions."
  • Click the "Operations Eye" icon next to the transaction you want to refund.
  • Click the blue "Refund" button.
  • You will have two options: either remove the ticket sale and keep the total amount the same, or remove the ticket and adjust the total amount sold.
