To ensure a smooth and compliant cancellation process for inflight catering, the following guidelines should be followed:
Standard Orders: For standard orders, cancellation notice must be received at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled delivery time to avoid any charges. If the notice is received within 24 hours of the delivery time, the customer may be required to pay the full amount of the catering invoice.
Specialty and Shopping Items: For specialty items such as alcohol, floral arrangements, gift baskets, concierge items, special recipes, and restaurant facilitation, cancellation notice must be received at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled delivery time. If the notice is received within 48 hours, the customer will be charged for items that cannot be returned or reused by the kitchen.
Cold and Cooked Foods: Cancellations for cold and cooked foods must be received more than 12 hours prior to the scheduled delivery time to avoid charges. If the notice is received within 12 hours, the customer will be required to pay the full amount of the catering invoice for those items.
Late Orders: For orders placed less than 24 hours before the scheduled delivery time, cancellation at any time will result in the customer being required to pay the full amount of the invoice for those catering services.
Alcoholic Beverages and In-Stock Items: Cancellations for alcoholic beverages and in-stock items must be received at least 6 hours prior to the scheduled delivery time to avoid charges. If the notice is received within 6 hours, the customer will be required to pay the full amount of the catering invoice for those items.
Special Orders: Special orders, including items that must be shopped for or ordered from third-party vendors and recipes made at the customer’s request, can be cancelled without charge if notice is received more than 12 hours prior to the scheduled delivery time. If the notice is received within 12 hours, the customer will be required to pay the full amount of the catering invoice for those special order items.
Non-Perishable Items: For special orders containing non-perishable items, the catering provider will hold these items at their facility pending further direction from the customer.
Combination Orders: If the catering order contains a combination of different categories (e.g., standard orders, specialty items, cold and cooked foods), the cancellation policy applicable to each category will be applied accordingly.
By adhering to these guidelines, customers can avoid unnecessary charges and ensure a smooth cancellation process for their inflight catering orders.
