Partial.ly is a flexible payment solution that enables businesses to offer customizable, automated payment plans to clients. It simplifies invoicing, improves cash flow, and integrates seamlessly with platforms like QuickBooks and Shopify. Ideal for businesses with high-value products, it streamlines collections while providing customers with affordable purchase options.

How to Cancel Partial ly

To cancel a payment plan on Partial.ly, follow these steps:

Logging In

Log in to your Partial.ly Merchant Account at partial.ly/login.

Locating the Plan

Navigate to the plan you wish to cancel.

Canceling the Plan

Click the red ‘cancel plan’ link near the top of the plan. This action will cancel the plan but will not automatically refund it.

Refunding the Plan (if necessary)

If you need to refund the plan, go to the payment section of the plan and click the ‘refund’ link next to each payment you wish to refund.

  • You can edit the refund amount to a smaller amount if needed before submitting it.
  • Note that ACH payments can only be refunded if they are under 180 days old. Older ACH payments need to be refunded outside of the Partial.ly system via check or e-payment.

Handling Specific Scenarios

  • Closed or Expired Card: If the customer’s card has been canceled or expired, the refund will typically return to the bank account associated with that card, depending on the bank’s policy.
  • Closed Bank Account: If the customer has closed their bank account, you will need to refund the customer outside of the Partial.ly system via check or e-payment.
  • Rejected Refunds: If a refund is rejected, it will be returned to you after up to 30 business days. You will then need to refund the customer outside of Partial.ly via paper check or e-payment.

Additional Considerations

  • Plans with a ‘paid’ status cannot be canceled as they are closed and no longer collect payments. You can archive a paid plan instead.
  • If you need to make changes to the payment schedule or terms, only the merchant is authorized to do so.

Customer Communication

If the customer needs to cancel the order and get a refund, they must directly contact the merchant. The merchant is the only one authorized to cancel payment plans and process refunds.
