How to Cancel PC MILER

To fully cancel and uninstall the PC*MILER product, follow these steps:

Deactivation

  • Open the PC*MILER application and navigate to the Help tab, then select License Tool.
  • In the PC*MILER License Tool window, click Deactivate.
  • In the PC*MILER Product Deactivation window, click Deactivate again.
  • When the deactivation is complete, you will see a “Deactivation Complete” message with the deactivated product keys listed below. It is advisable to save these keys if you plan to transfer PC*MILER to another computer.
  • Close the Product Deactivation and License Tool windows.

Uninstallation

  • Go to the Start menu and select Control Panel > Apps & Features (or the equivalent on your system).
  • Click on PC*MILER {version number} and select Uninstall.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to completely remove the application.
  • If any messages appear during the uninstall process indicating that a certain file cannot be removed, click OK to continue.

Additional Steps

  • If you deactivated or uninstalled an installation that included PC*MILER components licensed and added after the initial installation, you will need to add those components separately again when you reinstall.
  • After the uninstall process is finished, you may need to manually delete any remaining files, such as those in the ALK Technologies directory.

Returning the Product

If you are returning the product, ensure that all components, including local, network, enterprise, or server installations, are fully deactivated and uninstalled.
