How to Cancel PromoTix
To cancel an event and issue full refunds on PromoTix, follow these steps:
Logging In and Accessing the Event
- Log in to your PromoTix account using the email address associated with your event. You can do this by visiting the PromoTix login page.
Locating the Event and Orders
- Once logged in, navigate to your event dashboard.
- Click on the "Orders" tab to view all the orders associated with your event.
Issuing Refunds
- Use the search bar and filters at the top of the screen to locate the specific orders you need to refund.
- For each order, click on the "Actions" dropdown menu next to the order.
- Select "Issue Refund" from the dropdown menu.
- To cancel tickets, check the boxes next to each ticket you want to refund.
- In the "Refund Amount" field, enter the amount you want to refund, either as a flat amount or as a percentage of the total amount. Ensure you select the correct option using the radio buttons.
- Double-check the "Refund Amount" and "Remaining balance" values before proceeding.
- Click "Issue Refund" to process the refund.
Canceling the Event
- After issuing refunds for all completed orders, you can proceed to cancel the event.
- Ensure all completed orders have been either fully refunded or canceled.
- On your event’s dashboard screen, click the "Cancel" button to cancel the event.
Additional Steps
- If you are using the PromoTix Organizer mobile app, you can follow similar steps to issue refunds and cancel the event through the mobile interface.
Important Notes
- Once refunds are processed, the canceled tickets and funds cannot be recovered, so proceed with caution.
- Ensure that all attendees have been notified about the event cancellation and refunds.
