How to Cancel PSTrax

To cancel a user’s access to the PSTrax system, follow these steps:

Deactivating a User

When a user no longer needs access to the system, you can deactivate their account. Here’s how to do it:

  • Navigate to Settings > Personnel > User List.
  • Find the user you want to deactivate and click Edit User next to their name.
  • In the Status section, select Inactive.
  • This will shut off the login for the user, but their name will remain tied to any past logged activity in PSTrax.

Important Considerations

  • If the user has PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) assigned to them, the system will automatically move their gear to Unassigned when you deactivate their account. To avoid this, reassign or retire their gear in PPE > Gear List before making them inactive.
  • You can view all inactive users at Settings > Personnel > User List > Inactive Users (found in the dropdown next to Add User in the upper right corner).

Additional Steps for Administrators

  • Ensure that the user list is up-to-date and everyone is set up with the appropriate permission levels. Only users with Manage Personnel permissions can add, edit, and deactivate users in PSTrax.

By following these steps, you can effectively cancel a user’s access to the PSTrax system while preserving their historical activity records.
