How to Cancel UpdraftPlus

To cancel or request a refund for an UpdraftPlus product, follow these steps:

Refund Request

If you decide to cancel your purchase and request a refund, you must do so within 10 days of the purchase date. Here’s how you can proceed:

• Contact the UpdraftPlus support team via the customer support form on their website.
• Provide detailed information about the reason for your refund request. Refunds are considered at the discretion of UpdraftPlus, typically if a technical fault is identified and they are given the opportunity to verify and fix the issue.
• Ensure that the issue is related to UpdraftPlus and not another product or service.

EU Customers

For EU customers, there is a legal right to a refund for digital goods that have not yet been downloaded, if requested within 14 days of purchase. Such requests will also be honored.

Unsubscribing from UpdraftPlus Vault

If you are paying for extra UpdraftPlus Vault storage space beyond what is included in your UpdraftPlus Premium purchase, you can cancel at any time:

• Log in to your account page.
• Navigate to the relevant section and cancel your subscription for the extra storage space.

Removing the Plugin

If you decide to completely remove UpdraftPlus from your WordPress installation, follow these steps:

• Go to your WordPress dashboard and navigate to the "Plugins" page.
• Deactivate and then delete the UpdraftPlus plugin.
• If the plugin does not appear on the "Plugins" page or if re-installing tells you that the directory already exists, you may need to use FTP or the file manager in your web hosting company’s control panel to remove the wp-content/plugins/updraftplus directory entirely.

Deleting Settings and Backups

UpdraftPlus does not delete its settings or backups when de-installed. To remove all settings:

• Go to the "Expert/Debugging" tab in the UpdraftPlus settings and use the button provided to clear all settings.
• To remove all backups, either click the "Delete" buttons in the "Existing Backups" tab or delete them from your cloud storage (e.g., Dropbox, Google Drive).

By following these steps, you can effectively cancel your subscription, request a refund if eligible, and remove the plugin along with its settings and backups.
