How to Cancel You Need A Budget

To cancel your You Need A Budget (YNAB) subscription, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your YNAB account via the web app at https://app.ynab.com/settings. If you’re on a mobile device, you may need to access this link through a mobile browser since billing information is not available in the mobile app.

  2. Navigate to Account Settings: Once logged in, go to the Account Settings page.

  3. Cancel Subscription: Scroll down and click on the "Cancel your subscription" button. Follow the prompts to confirm the cancellation.

  4. Alternative Method: If you prefer, you can also email help@ynab.com from the email address associated with your YNAB account to request cancellation.

If you signed up through the App Store or Google Play Store, you will need to manage your subscription through those platforms:

  • For App Store subscriptions, open the YNAB app, go to Settings, and select "Manage Subscription in iTunes."
  • For Google Play Store subscriptions, open the Play Store app, tap your Google ID image, select "Payments and Subscriptions," and then "Subscriptions."

After cancellation, you will retain access to YNAB until the end of your billing cycle. Your account data will not be deleted immediately but will be handled according to YNAB’s data retention policy. If you wish to delete your account entirely, you can do so from the Account Settings page.
