The Aggressive Paywall (CapCut Pro)
Gated Features: Many features that used to be free are now moved behind the "Pro" subscription. This includes certain filters, effects, stickers, and cloud storage.
Watermarks: Using Pro assets puts a watermark on your video, and removing it usually requires a subscription. Even on the free tier, the "CapCut" ending screen can be annoying to remove manually every time.
Crashing and Lag: The mobile app, in particular, is notorious for crashing, especially on older devices or when working on long, complex projects with many layers.
Memory Heavy: The app takes up a significant amount of storage space and phone memory, which can slow down devices.
Desktop Optimization: While the PC version is more powerful, it can be laggy and prone to freezing compared to professional editors like Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve.
