    What’s the biggest benefit you’ve noticed?
    I used to get really anxious about sending sensitive attachments or client info over standard, unencrypted email. Criptext solved that by making sure only the person I'm actually talking to can ever see what I'm sending.
    Is there something that almost made you stop using it?
    There was a time when the app was crashing quite a bit, and with no updates in sight, I almost jumped ship. It’s tough to stick with a tool when you feel like the developers might have moved on to other things.
    What could make it even better?
    I’d love to see a bit more life in the development team with regular security patches and new features. Adding a way to sync with standard mail clients would also be a massive game-changer for most people.

    I’d definitely suggest it to my "privacy geek" friends who want total control over their data. For everyone else, I might hold off a bit just because it can be a little technical to set up and manage compared to something like Gmail.

    How does this compare to similar products you’ve tried?
    it’s much more private than ProtonMail because it doesn't store anything on a central server, which makes me feel a lot safer. The big difference is that everything stays on my own phone or laptop, though it’s a bit more work to keep all my devices synced up.
    Have you experienced any bugs or errors?
    I’ve had a few annoying times where the app just won't open or it gets stuck on the "decrypting" screen for way too long. Sometimes my emails don't sync properly between my phone and my Mac, which can be a real headache when I'm trying to find an old message.
    Is there a workflow that could be simpler?
    Setting up the initial backup and recovery keys felt a bit complicated and scary for a new user to handle. I also wish it was easier to send encrypted messages to people who aren't using Criptext without them having to jump through so many hoops.

    What do you like best about this product?
    I like how the local device storage keeps all my private messages secure. My small business team loves having complete data sovereignty over our sensitive email communications
    What do you dislike about this product?
    Learning the advanced encryption key settings took some extra technical planning time. I occasionally find the strict attachment size limits a little confusing to manage alone
    What new feature would you love to see added?
    Adding better video tutorials would help our external partners understand things faster. I want a larger attachment capacity for smaller business teams sending many big files
