How has it made your work/life easier?

What slows you down when using it?

Early on, the breaking changes between versions were a bit of a pain to keep up with. It felt like I was constantly re-indexing everything just to stay current, but it’s gotten much more stable lately.

If you could change one thing, what would it be?

I’d probably make the initial indexing process a bit faster for really huge JSON files. Waiting for a massive data dump to process is the only time I’m not feeling that instant-gratification speed.

How does this compare to similar products you’ve tried?

I use the typo tolerance and filtering features the most to make sure results are still accurate even if someone makes a mistake. The instant search "out of the box" is my go-to for almost every database I'm working with lately.

Have you experienced any bugs or errors?

The memory usage can get a bit high sometimes when I’m indexing a lot of data at once on a smaller server. Also, figuring out the advanced relevancy rules took me a bit longer than I expected because the documentation has a lot of technical jargon.

If you could change one thing, what would it be?

If they had an even simpler way to sync directly with my database automatically, I wouldn't have to write extra code for updates. Improving the cloud pricing for tiny hobby projects would also help me save some cash while I'm still testing ideas.

How has it made your work/life easier?

Amazed how this tool can give result in <50ms despite being AI powered. Minimal fiddling with configs too since most of the features I want are there by default.

What do you dislike about this product?

Admin dashboard feels a bit skinny. There are also some outages I've encountered.

If you could change one thing, what would it be?

The cost can be a bit pricey. Calculation for the cost feels off to in cases where you have a large index but low query volumes.

Well its quick, but the pricing can be a bit much. Good thing is its easy to integrate and fast for what it does.
