How to Cancel JivoChat

To cancel or delete your JivoChat account, follow these steps carefully, as deleting the account will result in the permanent loss of all associated data and licenses.

Deleting Your JivoChat Account

  • Log in to your JivoChat panel as the administrator. Only the administrator user or the account creator can perform this action.
  • Navigate to Manage > My Profile.
  • Click on "Delete the whole JivoChat account".
  • A screen will appear where you must select a reason for deleting the account and click on "Send the code to your email".
  • An email with a verification code will be sent to you. Copy this code and paste it into the "Verification Code" field in the JivoChat panel.
  • After entering the verification code, click on "Delete JivoChat account". This action will delete your account, including all data and any associated licenses.

Important Considerations

  • Deleting your account will erase all data it contains, and it will not be possible to restore it.
  • Ensure you carefully read all the messages presented during this process.

Transferring Account Ownership

If you prefer to transfer the account instead of deleting it, follow these steps:

  • Log in to your JivoChat panel as the administrator.
  • Navigate to Manage > My Profile.
  • Click on "Transfer ownership of the account".
  • Select the colleague to whom you are transferring the account. The colleague must have a verified email in JivoChat and be an administrator.
  • Request that the confirmation code be sent to your email.
  • Enter the received code and click on "Transfer the ownership".

Note

  • Transferring account ownership is reversible, but the JivoChat team is not responsible for this procedure, and their support cannot return the account ownership once transferred.
