What do you like best about this product?

I like how detailed and global the monitoring is, especially being able to track API performance from different locations. It gives a much clearer picture of real-world API behavior instead of just internal metrics.

What’s been frustrating in your experience?

The setup can feel a bit technical and not very beginner-friendly at first. It also takes some time to fully configure everything to match your specific API environment.

What could make it even better?

A simpler onboarding flow would make it easier for new users to get value faster. I’d also like a more modern and intuitive UI for navigating dashboards and alerts.

What exceeded your expectations?

It actually shows you how the API is performing for a real user in Tokyo versus London, which is much more useful than just a basic "up or down" check. The detail in global monitoring is good.

Have you experienced any bugs or errors?

I’ve had a couple of instances where the dashboard charts didn't refresh automatically after I updated a test script.

What could make it even better?

I’d love to see more "one-click" integrations for Slack or Microsoft Teams alerts. The setup for notifications is fine, but making it faster to push specific error logs directly into our dev channels would save us a lot of time.

How does this compare to similar products you’ve tried?

My impression of APImetrics was that it’s a powerful performance monitoring. It felt reliable right away especially for tracking API uptime and response times.

Is there something that almost made you stop using it?

No. Ived been enjoying this app for a while now overall, it still feels reliable for monitoring API performance.

If you could change one thing, what would it be?

If I could change one thing, it would be to make the dashboard more easier to navigate. A cleaner layout would make it quicker to find key metrics without digging around.

I will recommend APImetrics because it’s a powerful and reliable tool for API monitoring, and while it has a bit of a learning curve, I’d still recommend it to colleagues who need solid performance insights.
